Course: Introduction to Computer Science

When: Classes meet twice a week from August 8th, 2020 - September 12th, 2020. To get a better understanding of the schedule and start times of classes you can read our syllabus.

We hope to provide a fun and engaging place for kids to collaborate with one another while learning a useful skill, and hopefully inspire them to further pursue computer science. In this class-like environment, kids will work together to solve problems and further their quantitative reasoning skills. Additionally, this course offers a unique experience for kids to interact with one another, especially during these current times, while still being able to learn and receive adequate help from an instructor. No prior experience is required, and beginners are encouraged to take the course.

Course: Introduction to Business

When: No longer available for registration. The course will begin late September 2020, and meet once a week at a time that works for both the students and the teacher for five classes. To get a better understanding of the schedule and content of this course you can read our syllabus.

This enrichment class is meant to be an exploratory course of various business topics such as Personal Finance (Making a budget, investing, saving), Marketing, and Entrepreneurship, among others. Intro to Business will be fun and engaging, and there will be a few, quick assignments that students will have ample time to complete with no pressure. This class will be great for anyone who plans to take a Business class in school, major in a Business related field in college, or just wants to gain valuable financial skills that will be used for life! No prior knowledge is required, and for students who do have some understanding of these topics, this class will add to what you already know.

Boston COVID-Tutoring will be able to tutor students using the online videotelephony application Zoom. Tutors will typically meet with their students once per week until the student determines that they no longer require our tutoring services.
